    Oliver Jeffers was born in Port Hedland in Western Australia in He moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland in where he grew up and learned to paint and write.
    Oliver graduated from the University of Ulster in the spring of with a first class BA Hons degree in Design for Visual Communication, and taught part time for a while on the same course.

    His sell-out exhibitions have included 'Opposites', 'A world with coffee', 'The Boys at the Bar' and 'The Session'. Joint exhibitions include '9 days in Belfast' 'book', and 'BUILDING', all critically acclaimed.

    'Opposites', an exhibition of oil paintings took place in Sydney as part of the Olympic Arts Festival. 'A world with coffee' taking place in Sydney the same year and sponsored by Lavazza Coffee Company, featured work incorporating coffee rings as part of a line drawing depicting the contemporary coffee culture. This work is now being compiled with writing in the form of a coffee table art book.

    Born in Australia and raised in Northern Ireland, Oliver Jeffers is an award-winning artist, illustrator, and writer. From figurative painting and installation to illustration and picture-book making, Oliver’s work takes many forms. His distinctive paintings have been exhibited in prestigious institutions all over the world. 

    Oliver has sold more than 10 million picture books - including Here We Are, The Incredible Book Eating Boy, This Moose Belongs to Me, and Once Upon an Alphabet. His wildly popular book, The Day The Crayons Quit, and its sequel, The Day The Crayons Came Home, were both #1 NY Times bestsellers. His books have been translated into over 30 languages. Working in collaboration with Studio AKA, Oliver’s second book, Lost and Found, was developed into an animated short film that has received over sixty awards, including a BAFTA for Best Animated Short Film.
